Maury joined Buck O'Neil along with dozens of former greats including Lou Brock, Ernie Banks & Ozzie Smith, in support of the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum and its community outreach programs. Sunday April 4th was declared "Maury Wills Day" in the District of Columbia by proclamation of the DC City Council.
